Arranging and populating the Jisc footer

Contents

  • Service section
  • Jisc section
  • Copyright section

The Jisc footer is divided into three sections:

1. Service

An optional panel for your site-wide service-specific content. This can be information such as:

  • Utilities and / or useful links
  • Contact information
  • Latest blog post
  • Social media icons
  • Latest tweets

2. Jisc

A required panel – this holds the Jisc logo, and information about the primary areas of work where your service sits (digital resources, network and IT services, advice or R&D).

This helps to give a wider context to your service, and make your users aware of what other areas of support we offer.

Contact user.experience@jisc.ac.uk for what should go in this section.

3. Copyright

A required panel – this space should be used to show the site-specific copyright information.

Our stylised copyright / Creative Commons logos should be used. These can be requested by emailing user.experience@jisc.ac.uk.

Most Jisc content is produced under the Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs (CC BY-NC-ND) Creative Commons license. If you’re not sure what licence is applicable to your service – details of them all can be found on the Creative Commons website.
