Jisc favicon

A favicon is the icon associated with a your website, typically displayed in the address bar of a browser accessing the site or next to the site name in a user’s list of bookmarks. All service mode sites must carry the Jisc favicon to clearly identify themselves as a Jisc product.

Package contents and instructions

Package contains:

  • All image files
  • browserconfig.xml file (used by Microsoft browsers).
    Note that if the images are in different directories from this file then the paths need updating.
  • manifest.json file, used by Android browsers.

  • A generic version of the HTML code required in the document ‘head’, including documentation on what is going on.
  • Favicon testing criteria – what you need to do to test once it has been implemented.

Jisc banner

The Jisc banner is our simple branding device that’s must be included at the top of Service-mode sites. It is also key access point for core Jisc functionality such as Log in.

  • all.css – styling for the banner to be added in your css file
